Steve, I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment "there is little different now about Sheffield to 1978 / 79. Cars are very different and no longer suited to the style of racing i used to see when I first became addicted, many seem to fall to bits with any contact with the fence.
It's a shame because Sheffield as you say have some of the best facilities of any Brisca track and as I have said could be a fantastic W/F venue. Maybe only using Sheffield for big events may be the best option open for everyone, and credit must be given for you keeping it alive for so long.

What about putting F1s on with bangers on at Sheffield?

Yes, the F1 purists won't like it, but they don't go anyway.

I think Steve has said this isn't an option due to the close proximity of a Banger track and the possible impact of more Bangers meetings could have on that track (if I recall correctly).
