Currently, as promoters, we are reviewing the first half of the season and working on tweaks for the second half as we are always striving to improve and make your attendance even more enjoyable. We are giving you to the opportunity as part of this process to `have your say' as to what is good, what is bad, suggest ideas you may like to see in all areas from parking, arriving at the stadium, turnstile service, programme, meeting commentators, presentation, organisation and new ideas that we can integrate and carry through into 2010 and beyond. We would ask that ideas are kept practical and do-able' but welcome comments, good and bad that we can note. I am going to ask Chris Smith to devise a relatively short questionannire - if you like, our own version of `racing rating' that you can fill in `online' after each event - don't know how we are going to achieve that yet, a headache for Steph to work on, but we shall offer some prizes as we think it important to encourage objective customer feedback in key areas of our events - this will exclude the actual race action as that is something we as promoters cannot dictate as it is `live' entertainment however the first part of this exercise may help us ad ingredients in that area. Over to you!

Would this be for Startrax only or for all brisca tracks? The idea is good, think you know i'm all for customer feedback / involvement in our sport, sorry hobby , but in light of recent events are you confident the responses would be on a positive, constructive level? are you prepared for some *******s to just have a pop? Just a comment in connection, On my car after Cov on sat was a sealed plastic covered questionaire with a stamped addressed envelope, which I thought was brilliant, quick, no cost, and totally random, covering all customers not just ones who post on internet sites.

This is feedback for Startrax - I think we have passed the reality barrier with regard administration of Paddock passes at Sheffield which is a major step forward for the venue. I have heard about the questionaire you mention that appears to have been organised by an independent party and as I understand it, concerned with a particular topic - that will already be discussed at the season end - I think we have exhuasted that debate thus far! This post is concerned with our own operation, likes / dislikes and suggestions - all constructive comments are welcome - and helpful. We are exploring how to widen this research and feedback.

It was hardly "no cost", Tim, unless envelopes and stamps are being given away for free these days.
Steve, you might want to have a look at http://www.surveymonkey.com/ |

Wel chaps, I have learnt a lot thus far - a discussion about an unconnected flyer/questionnaire re the National Points Championship whilst interesting, does not provide any clarity. Thanks Carl for the info, Chris has devised a satisfaction survey we ae tidying up but designed for our customers and individual events - your assistance on he actual topic would be most welcome.

| Tim The questionnaire has been designed in a way to allow those who attend Startrax events to give a score (out of 10) against a raft of different elements that make up the whole 'oval experience'. The idea is to measure where Startrax are against these scores and identify areas to work on to improve any elements that don't score well. This may involve a follow up questionnaire to identify how or what needs to be done in specific areas and the possibility of an end of season questionnaire to measure if the changes and improvements had been a success. At the end of the day, its about creating a product that will attract and retain new customers and the only way to do that it to ask your existing customers what they think of the service and what needs to be changed/improved. _________________ I would never join a club that would have me as a member

Hey, don't get me wrong, I think the idea is a very good one and if it's done after every meeting it allows the promotion the moniter progress on a reasonably accurate basis. Only mentioned the questionaire in passing, didn't intend it to detract from the original subject - sorry. Just working on the principle the internet is not a true moniter of all who attend meetings, the majority may view forum sites but rarely if ever post on them. I'm just glad Steve hasn't given up trying to please all us miserable lot after recent events. Somewhere out there is the perfect world, I think it's between Bradford and Rochdale, in 1976.

Returning to this topic - I am surprised at the lack of response given a useful opportunity to shape the future presentation of the sport at Startrax - do I take it everyone is 100% happy and carry on as we are

Reading the original post, maybe the lack of response is due to the wording, which implies a standard form will appear after each Startrax meeting, so the response will be apparent after the first online questionaire. Maybe I read it wrong, and your asking for feedback now, either on the format of the questionaire or general suggestions for Startrax meetings. Whatever, maybe we've realised you can only work within your limitations of budget and stadium use/operation and everyone is happy with what you offer. Personally I think everyone is wary of judging / commenting on any promotion after recent adventures.

HI STEVEN, I, personally, don't think Startrax are doing anything wrong. It's just the times we are in and the unfortunate cost of putting on/taking part in the sport. Just continue with the slickly run meetings and try and get as many cars as possible and then we have "value for money". As for stadiums, the only downer (which may even put people off attending), is the ruling that your own food and drink can't be brought in. I know it's out of Startrax's control, but it can add a lot of money on top of the entrance fees especially if there's several people involved. Can't see any way round this unless we all have a pre-meeting "picnic" in the car parks? GED
