PostSubject: pit area toilets?   Mon Jul 27, 2009 2:13 pm

Just a quick question Steve, I was helping with a junior heratige yesterday and needing the loo I followed the many clear signs for toilets but ended up behind the billboards with the nettles. Didn't worry me, but given there were many females and children in the pit area, not ideal.
Any reason for this?

There used to be some portaloos in that area, hence the signs.

The portaloos have gone, but the signs remain.

No idea without checking Tim apart from the building works going on and the area where the portaloos [ which were always trashed] were is ongoing development. You will notice the new grandstand extension now taking shape

Thanks for the replys, like I say, not a problem.
The work in the pit area is good, given the total number of cars in the pit area was quite high ( all formula ) all fitted in comfortably, no one parked on the roadside.
As I have said before the facilities overall at Sheffield are good, hard surface viewing areas, plenty of cover ( things which Northampton got slated for ) and the extended grandstand will only improve on this.
The extra ropes in the fence seemed to work well.
Is there any possibility of a Saturday night fixture at Sheffield, under lights would be incredable and would bring nearer the crowd levels the stadium deserves.
