PostSubject: hi all and for sale   Tue Jul 28, 2009 10:21 pm

Hi all

I have been off the air for some time due to financial losses (No job no internet etc etc Evil or Very Mad )
This has impacted my viewing of all things motorsport wise but luckily i have an autograss track just down the road from me which is my now and only intake of petrol fumes and sometimes that odd wonderful wiff of castrol R..umm that brings back some memories i can tell you.

Anyway where was I like i said I used to be on s***net (Dont want to upset anybody by advertising do i) A mad keen stock car follower go here go there I used to be registered on here a while ago but like I say no internet etc?.I think your starting to get the picture.

During my time away from the stox scene I have lost all friends whom used to meet up with at meetings and in general lost total interest within the sport.not knowing whos wining whos done this whos done that so on so forth.

So hence the really reason behind this message is to try and somewhat get back into the groove and find out what I have been missing.........Oh and to let you all know that I have a spare room full to the brim of stock car stuff am selling..Video's,mags,posters,programmes,stickers,badges,etc the lot has to go.I would put it all on ebay or stoxnet oops Embarassed sorry did i say that out loud (but the list is almost endless).I cant even get to a meeting to give a list to mr barber in the mag sales unit..So watch this space and i will slowly start putting up lists of items as i come across them.and I will add my phone number with each list.

Thanks

Thanks for you replies

1st thanks steve I will try and start sorting things out asap
2nd I have only been away from the stox scene basically since my brother sold up Sad (about 10 months although you are no doubt thinking what planet is this guy on)...well if I told you that I used to hate the winter break and got with-draw-rul symtoms pale any longer than one weekend away from a track used to drive me up the wall so going for this long has been HELL Twisted Evil
3rd I think am up to my autograss now am I ? my local is kinnerton north wales-although I must hold my hand up and make a very big confession i have been to a few autograss meetings this season mainly due to cost factor

V8

To kick off, the first big thing to hit the sport that you might have missed is that the BBC are currently undertaking a season long filming of selected meetings (the major champs) for a BBC1 (hopefully) documentary series focussing primarily on the Wainmans and Smiths (although I understand others are being filmed too). The possible broadcast timetable is early months of 2010.

Speaky is back in F2 affraid And Moodies back from his ban cheers

As for F1, well let us know want you want to know, whose won what so far, whose top of what tables etc etc and we'll fill you in.

Speak back in f2.............. bounce
That has only got to be a good thing.Personally don't want to start a mass debate but in my personal opinion that man was born with a steering wheel in his mouth and belongs in the brisca brigade.I think I can remember him doing the banger job last time I went but he seemed to be well...... LOST Suspect
Just wished he never stopped with the F1 job to be honest (Reminded me of phil hiagh was it)in ways either give'um what for or make a complete pain in the a*** for the others on track........Value for money??? who does that now???????
I think now moodie is back aswell the f2s could become intresting spectating I thought I heard a rumour (How dangerous are they) that Mr Moodie was coming into F1????.Please don't Quote me on that one what do I know I've been away for ages (I do remember him driving gilbanks car though)
I think the BBC thing will highlight the sport in ways that it needs to go and thats forward and as mentioned they are with main focus on Smiths Wainmans etc but how about following some of the lesser names within the sport they deserve it just as much as the big boys (Trust me a white top puts in just as much effort as the big boys if not I would say if like us we were a small time team and would and some times did spend longer than we wanted to in the garage getting things sorted before the next meeting..............Am going off on a rant here ain't I SORRY Embarassed
No the BBC programmes sounds like great news (I hope they do a better job than channel 5..ok yes it was alright but it could of been better) but I think the BBC being that more mainstream should do a better job and give the sport some credit..Maybe some of the promoters should reduce the entry fee to highlight how cheap it is and the value for money the paying customer will get when they are getting interviewed by someone from the BBC Shocked (Wishful thinking from a skint Stox Fan Rolling Eyes

I've raced at North Wales track this year and a very good track it is too, and cheap too which helps you to get a petrol fumes fix even if its not your 1st love
