Trials have been taking place today [ Saturday 17th ] at Harry Maaesens' new site just over the Dutch border at Meppen, planned to open later in the year.

Local authorities have visited the venue today, it is planned that Meppen will run on Sundays following Emmen later in the year as the two tarcks are roughly 20 miles apart.

Home straight [ Front Straight ] Grandstand, around 60 seats left only.

Back straight seating just under 600 left.

Standing Main enclosure tickets are also going well.

You are STRONGLY advised not to delay any further if you want a Front Straight Grandstand Seat.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Steve, Jackie and the rest of the Startrax team for their support and help they have provided me in organising a trip from my employer's sports and social club to Owlerton yesterday.

Steve etc really assisted in making sure that the group (many of whom knew absolutely nothing about Stock Car racing) had the best day possible by reserving seating and organising a trophy presentation for three of the children on the trip, one of which was there on his birthday.

Startrax have `sponsored' Gordon Moodies F1 outings in previous years, 2008 is no different particularly as we host the F1 WF!

Gordon scored an amazing 39 WCQR points at SHEFFIELD last Monday - which alone is almost enough to secure a Semi berth.

The Fife racer will next be out on May 26th at BELLE VUE in the F1 WCQR [ and Ftooz ] with his final outing the June Ipswich WCQR

It's that time of year again! Battle of Britain and the Totty Memorial at Sheffield!

It IS [ Hopefully!] going to be dry for this years event -BriSCA F2's provide the support which means no increase in admission prices as F1's arn't on!

I am pleased to confirm that Jack [Ovary] has today re-licensed with us for 08 and we will work on Jack to try and persuade him to get a team up to this year.

Also pleased that many of the Levellers' are with us again this year.

The early May Bank Holiday Monday meeting provided everything....a decent entry, a decent crowd, roll-overs, fires, handbags at dawn, plenty of car damage, surprise results........
