| Although I'm a dyed in the wool brisca fan I could never get my son to appreciate anything other than racing bangers so I do have an interest . Just to comment on steves mention that the 6 and 11 banger turnouts in the midlands were due to the high price of scrap. I would have to disagree. my son's paying around a hundred pounds per car, racing it and getting around £110 back weighing it in plus £40 for the cat plus £20 if its got alloys plus anything new looking goes on e bay.. so making a few bob on every car. If these turnouts are where I think they would have been, the promotion needs to look at how drivers are treated. anyone else got any comments? |

| I can't comment on other promotions - I understand your point and economics although I talk to many Banger drivers in our area [ Manchester ] who are just basic working lads - They ar being quoted up to £200 - Yes, they get it back when they scrap it - but with other soaring costs they just aint got the dough to start with.
Bangers are important to us - and we are VERY grateful of the support we get - and at Bank Holidays in particular, there are a lot of events on. |
