72 hours on, setting aside the fracas and possible consequences, we should look at the very many positives. Whilst certainly not looking forward to having to account for ourselves to the stadium management for the few mindless idiots, the majority were a credit to the sport, none more than the drivers themselves who put on a superb show. Sheffield certainly came of age as a major Banger venue attracting the stadiums largest audience in over a decade, indeed since the Speedway World Cup.

Jackie and I would like to thank Andy and Nicola for their choice of Sheffield to host the event, Stu Kearsley for his enormous commitment behind the scenes, Phil Morris who actually came up with the title Psychomania and worked very hard on the day - as did all the staff.
It really was a privilige to work with them - even if all you can get out of Andy is `aye'!

It is inevitable that we could not please everyone, certainly those who arrived later who could not gain pit access simply because it was totally full!

The day was highly charged, spectacular and we remain proud in hosting it despite ageing 10 years, the atmosphere was `electric' and a big thanks to the 99.9% of people present from fans to drivers to staff for making it so very special.

I have a meeting with the stdaium management Friday so if you see smoke over Owlerton, it's my ass that's burning!
